As part of the Foundation’s objective 'To encourage New Zealand school leavers into tertiary education and technology', scholarships are offered annually to assist with first-year university costs.
2016 Scholarships - open to application in 2015 from Students in Years 12 or 13, for study commencing in 2016:
- Five national scholarships at $4000 each
- Three regional scholarships at $4000 each - a pilot project with IPENZ Branches in Tauranga, Hawkes Bay and South Canterbury
for the following IPENZ-accredited degrees:
- Three-year Bachelor of Engineering Technology – BEngTech
- Four-year Bachelor of Engineering – BE or BE(Hons)
Scholarship awardees are chosen on the basis of intention to pursue engineering as a career, motivation to succeed, academic endeavour, general character and contributions to the community.
